Websites for Actors

If you connected an Instagram account to your Web For Actors website and you want that connection and everything stored with it removed, here are three ways to do it. All three delete the same thing, completely.

• 1. Disconnect it yourself, which is immediate

  Sign in to your Web For Actors admin, go to Settings, open the Integrations tab, find the Instagram card and click Disconnect. The deletion happens straight away. Nothing is queued and nothing is held back.

• 2. Remove our app from inside Instagram

  In the Instagram app, go to Settings and activity, then Website permissions, then Apps and websites, and remove Web For Actors. Instagram notifies us, and we delete your data automatically when that notification arrives. You do not need to contact us as well.

• 3. Ask us

  Write to info@webforactors.com from the email address on your account, or use our contact form, and say you want your Instagram data deleted. We will confirm once it is done. We action every request within 30 days, and in practice within one working day.

• What gets deleted

  All of it. The access token Instagram issued us, your Instagram account ID and username, and every cached post record, meaning the image links, captions, post links and dates we held to render your feed. Once removed, your website simply stops showing the Instagram section. Nothing else about your website or your account is affected.

• What we never had in the first place

  We never receive your Instagram password, and we never store copies of your photographs. Your images were only ever displayed from Instagram's own servers, so there is no copy of them on ours to delete.

• Deleting your whole account

  Closing your Web For Actors account removes the Instagram connection along with everything else, so you do not need to do both. Contact us at info@webforactors.com if that is what you want.
